Rear Spoiler: Installation

PRECAUTION
NOTE:
- If a rear spoiler sub-assembly is removed and installed, the location of the axis of the rear wiper motor assembly (for Glass Hatch Type) will change, causing the wiping angle to change. Be sure to remove and install the rear wiper motor assembly (for Glass Hatch Type) using the centering jig.

- After installing a rear spoiler sub-assembly, install the rear wiper motor assembly (for Glass Hatch Type), do not open the glass hatch and the back door before installing the rear wiper link pivot.
INSTALL CENTER STOP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for Rear Spoiler without Press Line) (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL REAR WASHER NOZZLE (for Rear Spoiler without Press Line)
1. Engage the claws and install the rear washer nozzle.

2. Install the rear washer nozzle bracket with the screw.

INSTALL CENTER STOP LIGHT ASSEMBLY (for Rear Spoiler with Press Line) (See INSTALLATION )
INSTALL REAR WASHER NOZZLE (for Rear Spoiler with Press Line)
1. Engage the claws and install the rear washer nozzle.

2. Install the rear washer nozzle bracket with the screw.

INSTALL REAR SPOILER SUB-ASSEMBLY
1. Raise and lower the glass hatch and the back door respectively. Pass the wire harness into the vehicle and temporarily install the rear spoiler sub-assembly.

2. Engage the 2 claws.

3. Temporarily install the 8 screws.
4. Using a "TORX" socket wrench (T30), fully tighten the 6 screws (B).
  Torque: 5.0 N*m (51 kgf*cm, 44 in.*lbf)
5. Using a "TORX" socket wrench (T30), fully tighten the 2 screws (A).
  Torque: 6.5 N*m (66 kgf*cm, 58 in.*lbf)

6. Connect the wire harness.
  1. Connect the connector.
  2. Engage the grommet.

  3. Connect the rear washer hose.
  4. Connect the 2 connectors.

  5. Install the wire harness grommet to the wire harness.
  6. Engage the 4 claws and install the wire harness.
