Hood Lock Control Cable Assembly: Removal

REMOVE ENGINE UNDER COVER ASSEMBLY (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE NO. 1 ENGINE UNDER COVER (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE FRONT FENDER MOLDING SUB-ASSEMBLY LH (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE FRONT FENDER LINER LH (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE COOL AIR INTAKE DUCT SEAL (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE RADIATOR GRILLE (See REMOVAL )
REMOVE HOOD LOCK ASSEMBLY (w/o Engine Hood Courtesy Switch)
1. Remove the hood lock nut cap.

2. Remove the 3 bolts.

3. Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock assembly.

1. Disconnect the connector.

2. Remove the hood lock nut cap.

3. Remove the 3 bolts.

4. Disconnect the hood lock control cable and remove the hood lock assembly.

REMOVE HOOD LOCK CONTROL CABLE ASSEMBLY

Disconnect the hood lock control cable from the hood lock control lever.

Using a screwdriver, disconnect the clamps shown below.

HINT:

Tape the screwdriver tip before use.

Pull the cable from the engine compartment and remove it.
