Side Mudguard: Removal

HINT:

When removing the side mudguard, heat the vehicle body and side mudguard using a heat light.

Heating temperature 

ITEM TEMPERATURE TABLE

Item Temperature
Vehicle Body 40 to 60°C (104 to 140°F)
Side Mudguard 20 to 30°C (68 to 86°F)
NOTE: Do not heat the vehicle body or side mudguard excessively.
  1. REMOVE FRONT FENDER MOLDING SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Remove the clip.
    2. Using a 4 mm hexagon wrench, remove the screw.

    3. Peel off the front fender side protector and disengage the 3 clips, and then remove the front fender molding sub-assembly.

    4. Remove the pad from the front fender molding sub-assembly.
    5. Remove the 2 No. 4 clips from the front fender molding sub-assembly.
    6. Remove the front fender side protector from the front fender molding sub-assembly.

  2. REMOVE FRONT FENDER OUTSIDE MOLDING PAD 
    1. Remove the front fender outside molding pad from the front fender molding sub-assembly.

  3. REMOVE FRONT DOOR OUTSIDE MOLDING SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Turn back the front door weatherstrip.
    2. Remove the nut.

    3. Peel off the upper front door outside molding pad and disengage the 11 clips, and then remove the front door outside molding sub-assembly.
    4. Remove the gasket from the front door outside molding sub-assembly.
    5. Remove the 3 No. 3 clips from the front door outside molding sub-assembly.
    6. Remove the 8 No. 4 clips from the front door outside molding sub-assembly.

    7. Remove the upper front door outside molding pad from the front door outside molding sub-assembly.

  4. REMOVE REAR DOOR OUTSIDE MOLDING SUB-ASSEMBLY 
    1. Turn back the rear door No. 2 weatherstrip.
    2. Remove the nut.

    3. Peel off the upper rear door outside molding pad and disengage the 8 clips, and then remove the rear door outside molding sub-assembly.
    4. Remove the gasket from the rear door outside molding sub-assembly.
    5. Remove the 2 No. 3 clips from the rear door outside molding sub-assembly.
    6. Remove the 6 No. 4 clips from the rear door outside molding sub-assembly.

    7. Remove the upper rear door outside molding pad from the rear door outside molding sub-assembly.
