Differential Oil Seal: Installation

- INSTALL FRONT TRANSAXLE CASE COVER OIL SEAL
- Coat a new oil seal lip with MP grease.
- Using SST and a hammer, install the oil seal.
SST 09608-10010, 09950-70010 (09951 -07200)
Installation depth: -0.5 to 0.5 mm (-0.020 to 0.020 in.)
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the oil seal lip.
- INSTALL TRANSAXLE CASE OIL SEAL
- Coat a new oil seal lip with MP grease.
- Using SST and a hammer, install the oil seal.
SST 09608-32010, 09950-70010 (09951-07200)
Installation depth: 3.0 to 4.0 mm (0.1181 to 0.1575 in.)
NOTE: Be careful not to damage the oil seal lip. - INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY LH

- INSTALL FRONT DRIVE SHAFT ASSEMBLY RH
HINT:
Use the same procedures described for the LH side.
- INSTALL FRONT WHEELS
Torque: 103 N*m (1, 050 kgf*cm, 76 ft.*lbf)
- ADD MANUAL TRANSAXLE OIL
- Park the vehicle on a level place.
- Remove the filler plug and gasket.
- Check that the oil surface is within 5 mm (0.20 in.) below the lowest point of the filler plug opening.
Oil grade: API GL-4 or GL-5
Viscosity: SAE 75W-90
NOTE:- Problems may occur if the oil level is too high or too low.
- After replacing the oil, drive the vehicle and check the oil level again.
- Check for oil leakage if the oil level is low.
- Install the filler plug and a new gasket.
Torque: 49 N*m (500 kgf*cm, 36 ft.*lbf)
