Inspection Procedure
- CHECK IF SKID CONTROL ECU CONNECTOR IS SECURELY CONNECTED
- NG: CONNECT CONNECTOR TO ECU
OK: Go to Next Step.
- RECONFIRM DTC (See DTC CHECK/CLEAR
) NORMAL AND MALFUNCTION CODE
A Normal Code B Malfunction Code - B: REPAIR CIRCUIT INDICATED BY OUTPUT DTC (SEE DIAGNOSTIC TROUBLE CODE CHART )
A: Go to Next Step.
- CHECK VOLTAGE OF ECU IG POWER SOURCE
- Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
- Turn the ignition switch to the ON position.
- Measure the voltage between terminals 25 and 2 or 24 of the skid control ECU connector.
Standard:
10 to 14 V
- NG: CHECK AND REPLACE HARNESS AND CONNECTOR (IG CIRCUIT)
OK: Go to Next Step.
- CHECK ABS WARNING LIGHT
In case of using the hand-held tester:
- Select the "ABS WARN LIGHT" in the ACTIVE TEST and operate the ABS warning light on the hand-held tester.
- Check that "ON" and "OFF" operation of the ABS warning light can be done on the combination meter by the hand-held tester.
In case of not using the hand-held tester:
- Disconnect the skid control ECU connector.
- Using a service wire, connect terminal WA (13) and GND (2 or 24) of the skid control ECU connector.
- Turn the ignition switch ON.
OK: ABS warning light goes off.
- OK: CHECK AND REPLACE BRAKE ACTUATOR ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT )
