Inspection Procedure
HINT:
When U0123/62, U0124/95 or U0126/63 is output along with C1210/36 or C1336/39, inspect and repair the trouble areas indicated by U0123/62, U0124/95 or U0126/63 first (see DTC U0073/94 CONTROL MODULE COMMUNICATION BUS OFF, DTC U0100/65 LOST COMMUNICATION WITH ECM/PCM, DTC U0123/62 LOST COMMUNICATION WITH YAWRATE SENSOR MODULE, DTC U0124/95 LOST COMMUNICATION WITH LATERAL ACCELERATION SENSOR MODULE, DTC U0126/63 LOST COMMUNICATION WITH STEERING ANGLE SENSOR ).
- CHECK SENSOR INSTALLATION
- Check that the yaw rate and deceleration sensor has been installed properly (see REPLACEMENT
).
OK:
- The sensor should be tightened to the specified torque.
- The sensor should not be tilted.
- NG: INSTALL YAW RATE SENSOR CORRECTLY (SEE REPLACEMENT )
- OK: Go to next step.
- Check that the yaw rate and deceleration sensor has been installed properly (see REPLACEMENT
).
- PERFORM ZERO POINT CALIBRATION OF YAW RATE SENSOR AND DECELERATION SENSOR
- Perform the zero point calibration of the yaw rate sensor and deceleration sensor (see CALIBRATION ).
- NEXT: Go to next step.
- RECONFIRM DTC (SEE DTC CHECK/CLEAR
)
- Clear the DTCs.
- Start the engine.
- Drive the vehicle and turn the steering wheel to the right and left at a speed of 24 mph (35 km/h) or more.
- Check that the same DTCs are recorded.
HINT:
Reinstall the sensors, connectors, etc. and restore the vehicle to its prior conditions before rechecking for DTCs.
Result:
RESULTDTC is not output A DTC is output B - B: REPLACE ABS & TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT
)
HINT:
If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the problem symptoms table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step before replacing the part (see PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).
- A: END
HINT:
- The DTCs are recorded because zero point calibration has not been completed.
- End the procedure since the same DTCs are not recorded after completion of zero point calibration.
- If troubleshooting has been carried out according to the problem symptoms table, refer back to the table and proceed to the next step (see PROBLEM SYMPTOMS TABLE ).
