YAWRATE Sensor: Replacement
NOTE:
- Do not use dropped or damaged yaw rate sensors.
- Prevent foreign matter from attaching between the yaw rate sensor bracket and body.
- Confirm that the sensor direction is correct.
- DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- REMOVE CONSOLE UPPER REAR PANEL SUB-ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT )
- REMOVE CONSOLE BOX ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT )
- REMOVE YAWRATE SENSOR
- Disconnect the yaw rate sensor connector.
- Remove the 2 bolts and yaw rate sensor.
- INSTALL YAWRATE SENSOR
- Install the yaw rate sensor with the 2 bolts.
Torque: 14 N.m (143 kgf.cm, 10 ft.lbf)
- Connect the yaw rate sensor connector.
- Install the yaw rate sensor with the 2 bolts.
- INSTALL CONSOLE BOX ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT )
- INSTALL CONSOLE UPPER REAR PANEL SUB-ASSY (SEE REPLACEMENT )
- CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
- PERFORM YAWRATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION (SEE CALIBRATION )
- INSPECT ABS WARNING LIGHT AND VSC WARNING LIGHT (SEE DIAGNOSIS SYSTEM )
- PERFORM INITIALIZATION (SEE
INITIALIZATION
)
- Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the negative battery cable
