Abs & Traction Actuator ASSY (W/VSC): Replacement

DRAIN BRAKE FLUID
NOTE: Wash brake fluid off immediately if it adheres to any painted surface.
DISCONNECT CABLE FROM NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
REMOVE BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET
1. Using SST, disconnect the 6 brake tubes from the actuator with bracket.

2. Use tags or make a memo to identify the reconnection points.

3. Pull the lock lever upward.
4. Disconnect the actuator connector.

5. Remove the 3 bolts and the actuator with bracket.
  NOTE: Do not damage the brake tubes and wire harness.

REMOVE ABS & TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSY
1. Remove the 2 nuts and the brake actuator assy from the brake actuator bracket.
INSTALL ABS & TRACTION ACTUATOR ASSY
1. Install the brake actuator assy with the 2 nuts.
  Torque: 5.4 N.m (55 kgf.cm, 48 in.lbf)
INSTALL BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH BRACKET
1. Install the actuator with bracket with the 3 bolts.
  Torque: 19 N.m (194 kgf.cm, 14 ft.lbf)
  
  NOTE: Do not damage the brake tubes and wire harness.

2. Connect the actuator connector.

3. Using SST, connect each brake tube to correct positions of the actuator with bracket as shown in the illustration.
  SST 09023-00101
  
  Torque: 15 N.m (155 kgf.cm, 11 ft.lbf)

FILL RESERVOIR WITH BRAKE FLUID (SEE BLEEDING )
BLEED MASTER CYLINDER (SEE BLEEDING )
SST 09023-00101
BLEED BRAKE LINE (SEE BLEEDING )
CHECK BRAKE FLUID LEAKAGE
CHECK FLUID LEVEL IN RESERVOIR (SEE BLEEDING )
CONNECT CABLE TO NEGATIVE BATTERY TERMINAL
PERFORM INITIALIZATION (SEE INITIALIZATION )
1. Some systems need initialization after reconnecting the negative battery cable.
PERFORM YAWRATE SENSOR ZERO POINT CALIBRATION (SEE CALIBRATION )
CHECK BRAKE ACTUATOR WITH HAND-HELD TESTER (SEE ON-VEHICLE INSPECTION )
