Combination Meter: Removal

CAUTION: Before handling the airbag system components, refer to "CAUTION" of "General Description" in "AIRBAG SYSTEM". Ref. to AIRBAG SYSTEM>GENERAL DESCRIPTION>CAUTION .
  1. When replacing the combination meter assembly, store the [Combination Meter] customizing information. Ref. to COMBINATION METER (DIAGNOSTICS)>CUSTOMIZE .
  2. When the combination meter assembly is replaced, perform the variant work. Ref. to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>COMBINATION METER>REPLACEMENT>VARIANT WORK .
  3. Disconnect the ground terminal from the battery sensor, and wait for at least 60 seconds before starting work. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  4. Release the lock, tilt the steering column to the lowest end and fully extend the column by the telescopic system.
  5. Remove the ornament panel mid driver assembly. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER>AIR VENT GRILLE>REMOVAL>SIDE GRILLE .
  6. Remove the cover LWR driver. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>INSTRUMENT PANEL LOWER COVER>REMOVAL .
  7. Remove the light holder driver.
    1. Release the clips.
    2. Remove the light holder driver.

  8. Remove the driver monitoring unit. (Model with driver monitoring system) Ref. to INSTRUMENTATION/DRIVER INFO>DRIVER MONITORING UNIT>REMOVAL .
  9. Remove the panel assembly center. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>CENTOR CLUSTER>REMOVAL .
  10. Remove the cover start switch. (Model without push button ignition starter)
    1. Release the claw.
    2. Remove the cover start switch.

  11. Remove the panel start switch. (Model with push button ignition starter) Ref. to SECURITY AND LOCKS>PUSH BUTTON IGNITION SWITCH>REMOVAL .
  12. Remove the cover steering UPR.
    1. Release the clips and claws.
    2. Remove the cover steering UPR.

  13. Remove the visor assembly.
    1. Release the clips.
    2. Remove the visor assembly.

  14. Remove the combination meter assembly.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the meter glass or instrument panel.
    1. Remove the screws.
    2. Release the clips.
    3. Pull the combination meter assembly toward you.

    4. Disconnect connectors.
    5. Remove the combination meter assembly.
