Driver Monitoring Unit: Removal

  1. When replacing the driver monitoring unit, store the [Driver Monitor] customizing information. Ref. to DRIVER MONITOR (DIAGNOSTICS)>CUSTOMIZE .
  2. When replacing the driver monitoring unit, perform the following steps.
    1. Using Subaru Select Monitor, perform [Read Control module setting information] in the [Work Support] of [Driver Monitor]. Ref. to DRIVER MONITOR (DIAGNOSTICS)>WORK SUPPORT .
    2. According to the display screen, save and close the file.
  3. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery sensor. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  4. Remove the panel center UPR.
    1. Attach the protective tape.
    2. Release the clips and claws.
    3. Remove the panel center UPR.
      NOTE: Use a plastic remover.

  5. Remove the driver monitoring unit.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the driver monitoring unit.
    1. Remove the screws.
    2. Release the clips.
    3. Pull the driver monitoring unit toward you.

    4. Disconnect the connector.
    5. Remove the driver monitoring unit.
