HVAC System (Heater, Ventilator And A/C) (HEV): Compressor: Removal
WARNING:
The hybrid system includes a high voltage circuit. Mishandling could cause accidents such as electric shock or leak. Always check "WARNING (HYBRID SYSTEM)" and perform the proper operation. Ref. to PRECAUTION/WARNING>WARNING (HYBRID SYSTEM)

- Using the refrigerant recovery system, discharge refrigerant. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER (HEV)>REFRIGERANT RECOVERY PROCEDURE>PROCEDURE .
- Disconnect the ground terminal from battery. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
- Remove the collector cover. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>COLLECTOR COVER>REMOVAL .
- Remove the service disconnect plug. Ref. to HYBRID ELECTRIC VEHICLE>SERVICE PLUG>REMOVAL .
- Remove the air intake duct. Ref. to INTAKE (INDUCTION) (H4DO (EXCEPT FOR HEV))>AIR INTAKE DUCT>REMOVAL .
- Remove the cover UPR - front.
- Remove the bracket - hood stay.
- Remove the under cover - front. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>FRONT UNDER COVER>REMOVAL .
- Remove the inverter radiator outlet hose and inverter tank outlet hose from the clamps.
- Move the inverter tank. Ref. to COOLING (H4DO(HEV))>INVERTER TANK>REMOVAL .
- Disconnect the hose - pressure discharge and the hose - pressure suction.
- Remove the electric compressor assembly.WARNING: Be sure to wear insulated gloves.
- Disconnect the connector.CAUTION:
- Be sure to insulate the disconnected connector by wrapping it with insulating tape.
- Apply tape or similar item (that will not leave adhesive residue) to close the opening after the cable was disconnected so that foreign matter, water drops, or other substance does not enter.
NOTE: Follow the procedure below to disconnect the HV air conditioning wire connector.- Use protective tape to wrap a flat tip screwdriver of an appropriate size for the insertion opening, and disengage lock (a).
- Press the tab (b) to disconnect the connector.
- Remove the bolts and remove the electric compressor assembly.
- Disconnect the connector.
- Remove the compressor bracket.
