Exterior Condenser

  1. Using the refrigerant recovery system, discharge refrigerant. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER (HEV)>REFRIGERANT RECOVERY PROCEDURE>PROCEDURE .
  2. Disconnect the ground terminal from battery. Ref. to REPAIR CONTENTS>REPAIR CONTENTS>NOTE>BATTERY .
  3. Remove the bumper face - front. Ref. to EXTERIOR/INTERIOR TRIM>FRONT BUMPER>REMOVAL .
  4. Remove the radiator assembly. Ref. to COOLING (H4DO (HEV)>RADIATOR>REMOVAL .
  5. Remove the hose - pressure suction valve. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER (HEV)>HOSE AND PIPE>REMOVAL>LOW PRESSURE VALVE HOSE .
  6. Remove the LOW solenoid valve. Ref. to AIR CONDITIONER (HEV)>SOLENOID VALVE>REMOVAL>LOW PRESSURE SOLENOID VALVE .
  7. Remove the condenser assembly.
    CAUTION: Be careful not to damage the condenser assembly and radiator fins. If a damaged fin is found, repair it using a thin screwdriver.
    1. Remove the bolts and remove the condenser assembly.

    2. Remove the bolts, and then remove the bracket - condenser.
