Radiator ASSY (FA20): Removal
- Disconnection of the battery ground terminal (Refer to WORKING PRECAUTIONS AND NOTES )
- Removal of air cleaner case SUB-ASSY
- Move the hose clip and disconnect the ventilation hose NO. 2.
- Disconnect the connector from the intake air flow meter SUB-ASSY.
- Release the clamp and disconnect the wiring harness from the air cleaner cap.
- Loosen the two hose clamps and remove the air cleaner duct and air intake boot.
- Remove the three bolts and remove the air cleaner case SUB-ASSY.
- Move the hose clip and disconnect the ventilation hose NO. 2.
- Removal of the front bumper cover (Refer to REMOVAL )
- Removal of under cover front AL (Refer to REMOVAL )
- Draining of coolant (SUBARU Super Coolant) (Refer to COOLANT (FA20) )
- Disconnection of radiator outlet hose (Refer to REMOVAL , Step 3)
- Radiator reservoir tank ASSY removal
- Air cleaner duct removal
- Radiator cover plate removal
- Removal of water filler SUB-ASSY
- Disconnection of hood lock ASSY (Refer to REMOVAL , Step 5)
- Radiator support SUB-ASSY removal
- Cooler condenser ASSY disconnection
- Fan shroud removal (Refer to REMOVAL , Step 9)
- Radiator ASSY removal
- Remove the two bolts and remove the radiator support bracket RH.
- Remove the two bolts and remove the radiator support bracket LH.
- Disconnect the ambient sensor connector.
- Remove the radiator ASSY while lifting the radiator outlet hose.CAUTION: Insert a cardboard, blanket, etc. between the radiator ASSY and cooler condenser ASSY to protect the cooler condenser ASSY.
- Remove the two radiator supports LWR.
- Remove the two bolts and remove the radiator support bracket RH.
- Radiator hose NO. 1 removal
- Radiator outlet hose removal
- Radiator inlet hose removal
- Radiator gasket removal (for the upper side)
- Radiator gasket NO. 1 removal
- Radiator gasket NO. 2 removal
- Radiator gasket removal (for the lower side)
