Section 19 (Cooling System (H4DOTC)): Radiator: Removal

WARNING:
The radiator is pressurized. Wait until engine cools down before working on the radiator.
- Set the vehicle on a lift.
- Remove the collector cover.
- Disconnect the ground cable from battery.
- Lift-up the vehicle.
- Remove the under cover.
- Remove the heat shield cover from radiator. (AT model)
- Drain engine coolant completely.

- Disconnect the connectors of radiator main fan motor (A) and sub fan motor (B).
- Disconnect the ATF cooler hoses from ATF pipes.
Plug the ATF pipe to prevent ATF leaks. (AT model)
- Disconnect the radiator outlet hose from thermostat cover.
- Lower the vehicle.
- Remove the air intake duct. < Ref. to REMOVAL , Air Intake Duct. >
- Disconnect the over flow hose.
- Remove the reservoir tank. < Ref. to , REMOVAL , Reservoir Tank>
- Disconnect the radiator inlet hose (A) from radiator.
- Remove the hood stay holder (B).
- Disconnect the two coolant filler tank hoses from radiator.
- Remove the radiator upper brackets.
- While lifting the radiator up, slide it to the left.
- Lift the radiator up and away from vehicle.
