Engine Mechanical (H4SO): Camshaft: Removal
- Remove V-belt. See INSTALLATION , V-belt.
- Remove crankshaft pulley. See REMOVAL , Crankshaft Pulley.
- Remove belt cover. See REMOVAL , Belt Cover.
- Remove timing belt assembly. See REMOVAL , Timing Belt Assembly.
- Remove camshaft sprocket. See REMOVAL , Camshaft Sprocket.
- Remove crankshaft sprocket. See REMOVAL , Crankshaft Sprockets.
- Remove belt cover No. 2 (LH).
- Remove belt cover No. 2 (RH).NOTE: Do not damage or lose the seal rubber when removing belt covers.
- Remove tensioner bracket.
- Remove camshaft position sensor support. (LH side only)
- Remove oil level gauge guide. (LH side only)
- Remove valve rocker assembly. See REMOVAL , Valve Rocker Assembly.
- Remove camshaft cap.
- Remove bolts (a) through (b) in alphabetical sequence.
- Equally loosen bolts (c) through (j) all the way in alphabetical sequence.
- Remove bolts (k) through (p) in alphabetical sequence using ST.
- ST 499497000 TORX PLUS
- Remove camshaft cap.
- Remove camshaft.
- Remove oil seal.
- Remove plug from rear side of camshaft.
NOTE:
- Do not remove oil seal unless necessary.
- Do not scratch journal surface when removing oil seal.
