Remove/install belt drive components - AR13.20-P-0001ELS

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of injury  caused by pinching or crushing when working on springs or spring bodies that are under tension Use only approved tensioning devices; additionally screen off hazardous area if necessary. Check special tools for damage and proper operation (visual inspection). Wear protective gloves. AS00.00-Z-0001-01A
1 Remove upper engine cover    
2 Unfasten charge air cooler and pull to the front with attached coolant lines   AR09.41-P-6819ELS
3 Slacken poly-V belt and remove   AR13.22-P-3902-02MM 
INSTALLATION NOTES
Do not use belt wax or similar products. This can lead to slipping of the poly-V belt.
IMPORTANT Swivel clamping device (1) at hexagon (2) counterclockwise, remove poly-V belt and detension clamping device (1).
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT Pay attention to poly-V belt routing diagram.
INSPECT Check     
4 Check belt pulley profile and clamping device (1) IMPORTANT Check for damage, wear and dirt; replace if necessary.  
5 Check guide pulleys (4, 5) IMPORTANT Check for damage, wear and dirt; replace if necessary.  
6 Check poly-V belt    
REFER TO MAINTENANCE   AP13.22-P-1352EW 
  IMPORTANT Check for damage, wear and dirt; replace if necessary.  
  Only perform operation steps 7 through 10 for remove/install of tensioning device (1)     
7 Lock clamping device (1) IMPORTANT Swivel clamping device (1) at hexagon (2) counterclockwise and lock in place using drift (3).  
8 Remove screw/bolts for clamping device (1) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw/bolt, poly-V belt tensioning device to timing case cover *BA13.25-P-1001-01X 
9 Remove clamping device (1) upwards    
10 Slacken clamping device (1) When replacing the clamping device (1)
IMPORTANT Clamp tensioning device (1) in a vise, swivel at hexagon (2) counterclockwise, pull out drift (3) and slacken tensioning device (1).
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT The clamping device (1) can only be mounted in a locked condition.
 
  Only perform operation steps 11 and 12 for removal/installation of guide pulleys (4, 5)     
11 Remove screw/bolts for guide pulleys (4, 5) TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw/bolt, guide pulley to carrier *BA13.25-P-1003-01X 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw/bolt, guide pulley to coolant pump *BA13.25-P-1004-01X 
12 Remove guide pulleys (4, 5)    
13 Install in the reverse order
