Remove/install power steering pump - AR46.30-P-0500EWO

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
DANGER Risk of injury  to skin or eyes caused by hydraulic fluid spraying out under high pressure. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing hydraulic fluid Depressurize the hydraulic system completely before starting any work on the system. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses.   AS00.00-Z-0013-01A
NOTES Before opening the hydraulic system, thoroughly clean the area surrounding the separation point. Even the smallest dirt particles, introduced into the hydraulic components, can lead to malfunctions and a total failure of the hydraulic system    
NOTES Notes on bolted connections with self tapping screws   AH00.00-P-0007-01SF
1 Open engine hood and raise to vertical position   AR88.40-P-1000EW
2 Remove engine trim panel    
3 Remove fan unit   AR20.40-P-5050EW
4 Release tension on poly-V belt and remove from belt pulleys of power steering pump (4) and refrigerant compressor NOTES Do not foul the poly-V belt with oil as this will cause the belt to slip when the engine is running. AR13.20-P-0001OGE
5 Remove left air filter housing    
6 Remove power steering expansion reservoir   AR46.25-P-1000EWO 
7 Detach hose from expansion reservoir to power steering pump (4)    
8 Detach pressure line (1) from the power steering pump (4) IMPORTANT Collect escaping oil with rags and seal connections immediately.
INSTALLATION IMPORTANT replace O-rings.
 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA46.30-P-1004-01T

9 Disconnect electrical connector on power steering pump (4)    
10 Pull off clip with wiring harness from bracket of power steering pump (4) to cylinder crankcase INSTALLATION IMPORTANT If necessary, fit a new clip and cable tie.  
11 Remove bolt (3) securing bracket of power steering pump (4) INSTALLATION IMPORTANT The bracket must be modified when fitting a new power steering pump (4).  
TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA46.30-P-1010-01T 
TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA46.30-P-1009-01T 
12 Unscrew bolts (2) and remove power steering pump (4) TORQUE SPECIFICATION *BA46.30-P-1001-01T 
13 Install in the reverse order    
INSPECT Checking     
DANGER Risk of accident  caused by vehicle starting off by itself when engine is running. Risk of injury  caused by contusions and burns during starting procedure or when working near the engine as it is running Secure vehicle to prevent it from moving by itself.
Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes.
Do not touch hot or rotating parts.

14 Perform an engine test run and check that power steering is not leaking and is functioning correctly
