	Remove
1	Move back driver seat and front passenger seat
2	Disconnect battery ground line

3	Detach front SAM control unit with fuse and relay module and place to one side

4	Remove outer front door sills (1)	Outer front door sills (1) can be discarded.
5	Remove inner front door sills (3)
			AR68.30-P-4100EW
		Inner front door sills (3) can be discarded.
6	Detach edge guard (2) in left and right entrance area
7	Remove A-pillar paneling (4) from bottom of left and right A-pillar
8	Remove cover below left of instrument panel
9	Remove accelerator pedal (5)

10	Detach inner rear door sills (8) and detach edge guard (7) in entrance area

11	Clean outer rear door sills (6) to glue on rear door sill faceplates (11)	Cleaner	*BR00.45-Z-1025-04A
	Install
12	Detach protective foils from adhesive strips of left and right rear door sill faceplate (11)
13	Position and glue on left and right rear door sill faceplate (11) over the corresponding outer rear door sill (6)	Press on rear door sill faceplate (11) with a clean cotton cloth, beginning at one side.
14	Insert edge guard (7) and fasten inner rear door sills (8)

15	Retrofit electrical wiring harness (12) of illuminated door sill moldings (9)		AZ82.20-P-0001-04ES

17	Insert edge guard (2) and install new inner front door sills (10)
			AR68.30-P-4100EW
		Ensure that the ribbon cable of the illuminated door sill molding (9) lies close against the panel edge of the longitudinal member.
18	Install remaining parts	Operation step 8, 7, 6, 2.
19	Perform function check on illuminated door sill moldings (9)	Opening the doors activates the illuminated door sill moldings (9).
20	Document retrofitted equipment via vehicle documentation (VeDoc)	Attach "Illuminated door sill moldings retrofitted as per AZ82.20-P-0001ES " note under field organization texts to design group 68.
21	Remove protective foils at illuminated door sill moldings (9), new inner front door sills (10) and rear door sill faceplates (11)
