Loosening Main Wire Harness In Engine Compartment At The Left

→ Switch off ignition and remove remote control before disconnecting or removing load.

Assembly work may only be carried out if the mechanic is wearing the working clothes and shoes approved by Porsche .
The new part must only be removed from the ESD (electrostatic discharge) protective packaging just before installation and at the position at which the part is to be installed .
Never touch the electric pins and plug contacts .

3. Connector For ABS Wire Harness

Screw off fastening nut on the ground point -1- on the wheel housing (behind headlight).
Release and unplug electric plug connection for connection point to front wire harness -2- .
Release and unplug electric plug connection for the ABS wire harness -3- in the wheel housing. → 976519 REMOVING AND INSTALLING WIRE HARNESS FOR ABS - section on "Removing"
Release and unplug electric plug connection for level sensor -4- . → REMOVING FRONT LEVEL SENSOR - section on "Removing"
Release and unplug electric plug connection for Tyre Pressure Monitoring (TPM) transmitter -5- . → REMOVING CONTROL UNIT FOR TYRE PRESSURE MONITORING (TPM) - section on "Removing"
Release and unplug electric plug connection for additional coolant pump -15- .

Release and unplug electric plug connection for cooling water valve unit -16- .
Release and unplug electric plug connection for sensor for body -14- . → REMOVING AND INSTALLING FRONT LEFT BODY ACCELERATION SENSOR - section on "Removing"
Release and unplug electric plug connection for spring strut -6- (next to power-steering reservoir).
Release and unplug electric plug connection on steering -8- (in universal joint area).
Loosen relay box.

1. 11.1. Unscrew four fastening screws -13- .
2. 11.2. Release and unplug electric plug connections -12- on main wire harness in engine compartment.

3. 11.3. Pull main wire harness for engine compartment out of the bracket at the relay box -A- .
4. 11.4. Remove relay box by pulling it up. The relay box is clipped in at the underside with three catches.
Release and unplug electric plug connection on brake light switch -9- . → REMOVING BRAKE LIGHT SWITCH - section on "Removing".
Release and unplug electric plug connection for brake fluid reservoir level indicator -10- .

1. Heat Shield Between Primary Catalytic Converter And Wheel Housing
2. Fastenings For Wiring For Steering
3. Fastenings For Wiring For Cooling Water Valve Unit
4. Fastenings In Engine Compartment
5. Rubber Sleeve In Cross Panel
6. Fastenings In Plenum Panel
Remove heat shield -1- between primary catalytic converter and wheel housing.
1. 14.1. Unscrew six fastening screws.
Loosen fastenings -2- for wiring for steering.
Loosen fastenings -3- for wiring for cooling water valve unit.
Loosen fastenings -4- for main wire harness in engine compartment.
Pull rubber sleeve -5- in cross panel out of the body.
Loosen fastenings -6- for main wire harness in plenum panel.
