Preliminary Work

  1. Disconnect the battery. → 2X00IN WORK INSTRUCTIONS AFTER DISCONNECTING THE BATTERY
  2. Remove front apron. → REMOVING FRONT APRON - section on "Removing"
  3. Remove front retaining strips. → REMOVING FRONT RETAINING STRIP - section on "Removing"
  4. Remove lower part of front lid lock. → REMOVING LOWER PART OF FRONT LID LOCK - section on "Removing"
  5. Remove horn. → REMOVING HORN - section on "Removing"
  6. Remove distance measuring sensor. → REMOVING CONTROL UNIT FOR DISTANCE MEASURING SENSOR - section on "Removing"
  7. Only With Charge Air Cooler 

    Detach the charge air cooler at the top of the lock carrier. → REMOVING CHARGE-AIR COOLER - section on "Removing"
