Removal and Installation: Removal

  1. Remove the rear wheel and tire using power tool. Refer to Adjustment .
  2. Remove the brake caliper torque member bolts, leaving the brake hose attached. Position the caliper aside with wire. Refer to Exploded View .
    CAUTION: Do not depress the brake pedal while the brake caliper is removed.
  3. Put alignment marks on the disc brake rotor and on the wheel hub and bearing. Remove the disc brake rotor.
    CAUTION: Do not drop the disc brake rotor.
  4. Remove the coil spring. Refer to Exploded View .
  5. Remove the upper connecting rod nut. Disconnect the connecting rod from the rear suspension arm. Refer to Exploded View .
  6. Remove the wheel sensor (1) and the wheel sensor harness from the rear knuckle. Refer to Removal and Installation - Rear Wheel Sensor .

  7. Remove the wheel sensor harness from rear suspension arm.
  8. Remove the stabilizer bar. Refer to Exploded View .
  9. Remove the suspension arm nut and bolt from the rear knuckle using power tool. Disconnect the suspension arm from the rear knuckle.
  10. Remove the suspension arm nuts and bolts from the rear suspension member using power tool.
  11. Remove the suspension arm.
