Diagnostic Procedure

  1. STEP 1. Scan tool (M.U.T.-III) data list 

    Refer to DATA LIST REFERENCE TABLE  .

    • Item 33: Line pressure solenoid output current
    • Item 32: Line pressure solenoid monitoring current

      OK: Check if the output current and monitoring current differ largely. 

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    1. YES:  Intermittent malfunction
    2. NO:  Go to Step 2.
  2. STEP 2. Check for open circuit and short to ground in PLLS line between the TCM connector and the CVT assembly connector. 

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    1. YES:  Go to Step 3.
    2. NO:  Repair the wiring harness.
  3. STEP 3. Line pressure solenoid valve single unit check 

    Refer to SOLENOID VALVE CHECK  .

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    1. YES:  Go to Step 4.
    2. NO:  Replace the valve body assembly.
  4. STEP 4. Symptom recheck after erasing diagnostic trouble code 

    Q: Is the check result normal? 

    1. YES:  Intermittent malfunction
    2. NO:  Replace TCM.
