51 34 171 Replacing rear left or right door window

WARNING: Injury hazard!
Carry out work on the power windows only when the power window motor is de-energized (unplug connector).

Preliminary work needed:

Remove SOUND INSULATION ON REAR DOOR
Remove OUTER WINDOW CHANNEL STRIP
Partially remove the RUBBER WINDOW SEAL (in the rear)

Removal:

Shift door window glass (1) until the stop of the stand (2) can be operated.

IMPORTANT: Injury hazard!
Disconnect plug connection at power window motor (pinch hazard).

Press the stop of the stand (2) outwards using a screwdriver and feed out the door window glass (1) towards the top.

Installation:

Feed in door window glass (1).

Engage door window glass (1) in the stop of the stand (2).

NOTE: Door window glass (1) must engage properly.
