41 62 000 Removing and installing trunk lid

Preliminary work needed:

Remove REAR SPOILER
Remove TRIM FOR REAR WINDOW FRAME, TOP
Remove BOTTOM TAILGATE TRIM PANEL
Disconnect all cable connectors on trunk lid
Feed out wiring harness from rear lid
Remove GAS SPRINGS on the left and right

Removal:

Close trunk lid. Rear lid lock must not engage.

Release nut (1) on both sides.

Remove trunk lid.

Installation

Protect tailgate lock against engagement.

Install trunk lid at screw locations on hinge.

Tighten down nut (1) on both sides.

Tightening torque 41 62 1AZ .

If necessary, adjust TRUNK LID .
