11 12 000 Removing and installing/sealing cylinder head cover (B36A/B38A)

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove CLEAN AIR PIPE
- Remove ALL INJECTORS
- Remove FEED LINE
- Remove HIGH PRESSURE PUMP
- Remove BOTH ACTUATORS
- Release WIRING HARNESS FOR INJECTORS in area of cylinder head cover
- Release WIRING HARNESS FOR SENSOR SYSTEM in area of cylinder head cover
Removal:
Release screws in the sequence 13 - 1 .
Remove cylinder head cover.
Replacement:
- Remount PULSE SENSOR ON INTAKE CAMSHAFT
- Remount PULSE SENSOR ON EXHAUST CAMSHAFT
Installation:
Parts: Replace profile seal (1).
NOTE:
The cylinder head cover (1) must not touch the high pressure pump bracket (2) in the marked area.
Position cylinder head cover.
Attention!
Risk of damage to cylinder head cover!
Make sure that the cylinder head cover does not touch the high pressure pump bracket!
Screw in all cylinder head cover screws 1/2 revolution in the sequence 1 - 13 .
Tighten cylinder head cover screws in the sequence 1 - 13 .
Tightening torque: 11 12 3AZ .
