41 62 000 Removing and installing tailgate

Necessary preliminary tasks:
- Remove REAR SPOILER
- Remove TRIM FOR REAR WINDOW FRAME at top
- Remove COVER ON TAIL PANEL
- Disconnect all cable connectors on tailgate
- Feed out wiring harness from rear lid
- Remove GAS PRESSURE SPRINGS on the left and right
Removal:
Close tailgate. Rear lid lock must not engage.
Release nut (1) on both sides.
Remove tailgate.
Installation
Protect tailgate lock against engagement.
Install tailgate at screw locations on hinge.
Tighten down nut (1) on both sides.
Tightening torque 41 62 1AZ .
If necessary, adjust TAILGATE .
