51 46 050 Removing and installing/replacing top cover on tail panel

Necessary preliminary tasks:

Remove LUGGAGE COMPARTMENT FLOOR TRIM PANEL

REMOVAL:

Release expanding rivet (1).

Feed out cover (2) inwards/towards the top and remove.

If necessary, slightly release edge protection (3).

INSTALLATION:

Feed in cover (2).

Make sure edge protection (3) is correctly seated.

Install expanding rivet (1).

Replace faulty expander rivets.
