REP-TAT-P-5434-02 Installing the convertible top brace

Follow-up work 

• Install both CONVERTIBLE TOP BRACE LOCKS 
• Install the SEAL  on the convertible top brace
• Install the TRIM STRIP  on the convertible top
• Install LOADING AID 

• Insert the convertible top fabric (1) into the convertible top brace (2).

• Tighten the screw (1) the left and right.

  Parts:  screw

  TIGHTENING TORQUE SPECIFICATION
  
  

  Convertible top brace to convertible top brace support

  Replace screw.

  Joining torque

  9.5 Nm

  Angle of rotation  90°

• Insert the protective cap (1) on the left and right.
  NOTE: If damaged, install the new cover cap with part number 07 14 7 127 540.

• Clip in the connector (2) into the convertible top brace bearing (3).
• Connect connector (1).

  NOTE: Perform the steps on the right and left side.
• Secure the headlining (2) using new rivets (1).

• Feed the wiring harness (3) into the loops of the luggage strap (2).
• Connect connector (1).
