63 12 008 Removing and installing/replacing left or right headlight (xenon headlight, from 07/2004)

Necessary Preliminary Tasks:

Detach spray nozzle of headlight cleaning system. Refer to 61 67 045 REMOVING AND INSTALLING/REPLACING SPRAY NOZZLES FOR LEFT OR RIGHT HEADLIGHT CLEANING SYSTEM .

Release screws (1) and fold down control unit holder (2).

Unfasten plug connection (1) and disconnect.

Release wiring harness retaining clip (2).

Release nuts (4) and remove headlight (3).

Replacement:

Remove lamp for xenon light. Refer to 63 99 078 REPLACING BULB FOR LEFT OR RIGHT XENON HEADLIGHT (FROM 07/2004) .
Remove halogen bulb for high-beam headlight Refer to 63 99 001 REPLACING HALOGEN BULB FOR LEFT OR RIGHT HIGH-BEAM HEADLIGHT .

Installation:

Adjust headlights. Refer to 63 10 004 ADJUSTING HEADLIGHTS .
