51 45 314 Removing and installing/replacing trim for instrument panel center section

IMPORTANT: Risk of damage!

A hard disk is installed in the Car Information Computer (CIC).

Carry out mechanical work on the CIC and adjacent components with care.

Avoid subjecting the CIC to shaking/shocks.

Necessary preliminary tasks: 

Release screws on tunnel (1) on left and right.

Tightening torque 51 16 7AZ .

Release screws (1).

Tightening torque 51 16 4AZ .

Release screws (1).

Slide center console (2) in direction of arrow towards rear.

Remove center trim for instrument panel (3).

Installation note: 

Make trim for instrument panel center section (3) is correctly seated.
