| 4 | Remove electrical wiring harness (3) from engine until screws (4) can be accessed.. | ||

| 6 | Unclip wiring harness of right lambda sensor upstream of catalytic converter at right heat shield bracket. | AR07.04-P-0083SC | |

| 11 | Remove gasoline particulate filter temperature sensor (B163/2) from right catalytic converter (1r) and expose electric line. | Model 223 with engine 176 with code 961 (Exhaust system with OPF, generation 2.0) |

| 13 | Remove clamp (8) of right catalytic converter (1 r). | Leaks can occur otherwise. In the case of a two-piece clamp (8), replace screws and nuts. |

| 21 | Release, disconnect electrical connector of gasoline particulate filter differential pressure sensor (B163/6) and remove gasoline particulate filter differential pressure sensor (B163/6) with bracket from cylinder head. | Model 223 with engine 176 with code 961 (Exhaust system with OPF, generation 2.0) |

| 22 | Release, disconnect electrical connector of right lambda sensor downstream of catalytic converter and remove from engine. | AR07.04-P-0084SC | |
| 23 | Remove brackets (6, 9) downward. | ||
| 24 | Release right catalytic converter (1 r) and remove downward. | ||
| 25 | Remove combustion and corrosion residues on flange connections. | ||
| 26 | Install in the reverse order. | ||
| 27 | Check installation position and unobstructed movement of exhaust system. | If there are problems: Align the exhaust system. | |
| Risk of accident from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. | Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. |
