Remove/Install Left Oxygen Sensor Upstream Of Catalytic Converter - AR07.04-P-0081SC

WARNING Risk of injury  due to fan starting unexpectedly Do not reach into the rotation or hazard area of the fan. Wear closed and close-fitting work clothes. AS20.40-Z-0001-01A
WARNING Risk of injury  . Skin or eye injuries may result when handling hot or glowing objects. Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses, if necessary. AS00.00-Z-0002-01A
WARNING Risk of burn injuries  , suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. Use the extraction system. Move people out of the danger zone. AS49.00-Z-0001-01A
CAUTION Risk of injury  caused by scraping or cutting body parts on sharp vehicle parts Always wear protective gloves when working on or near sharp and non-deburred vehicle parts.
Deburr repair panels.

REMOVINGINSTALLING Remove/install     
1 Remove left air filter housing. INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Do not install upper engine cover until after the leak test. AR09.10-P-1151SC
2 Release electrical connector (1) and disconnect.    
3 Unclip electric line of the lambda sensor (G3/3) from the bracket (3).    
4 Release and disconnect the electrical connector (2).    
5 Remove lambda sensor (G3/3). INSTALLATION IMPORTANT : Coat thread with heat-resistant lubricating paste.
Paste, hot lubrication 1 kg, DBL 6879.20

    TORQUE SPECIFICATION Oxygen sensor upstream of catalytic converter to exhaust system at front *BA14.00-P-1001-02B 
    SPECIAL TOOL Socket wrench bit Fig 2
6 Cover sensor tip of the lambda sensor (G3/3) with protective cover. When lambda sensor (G3/3) is reused.
SPECIAL TOOL Set of protective covers

7 Seal threaded hole of the lambda sensor (G3/3) with a suitable stop plug. SPECIAL TOOL Record plug Fig 4
8 Install in the reverse order.    
INSPECT Check     
WARNING Risk of accident  from vehicle starting off by itself when engine running. Risk of injury  (bruises and burns) resulting from working on the engine while it is being started or when it is running. Secure vehicle to prevent it from starting off by itself. Wear closed and snug-fitting work clothes. Do not touch hot or rotating parts. AS00.00-Z-0005-01A
9 Perform engine test run; check engine for proper operation and check exhaust system for leak tightness.
