Remove/Install Front Door Window Lifter - AR67.39-P-0013SG

WARNING Risk of injury  to skin or eyes from hydraulic fluid spraying out under pressure. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing hydraulic fluid. Depressurize hydraulic system completely before starting any work on it. Wear protective clothing and safety glasses. AS00.00-Z-0013-01A
WARNING Risk of injury  caused by fingers being jammed or pinched when removing, installing or aligning hoods, doors, trunk lid/rear-end door or sliding roof. No parts of the body or limbs should be within the operating area when the components are moving. AS00.00-Z-0011-01A
CAUTION Risk of injury  from pinching or crushing hands and feet when working on windows. Secure the windshields and windows against falling down; use only specified lifting tools; wear safety shoes. AS67.00-Z-0003-01A

REMOVING Remove     
1 Close side window of corresponding front door completely.    
2 Remove door module.   AR72.10-P-0900SG
3 Use collet to secure side window against falling down. SPECIAL TOOL Clamping pliers Fig 1
4 Release emergency locking (4) of side window in direction of arrow with suitable screwdriver and have two helpers secure side window against falling down. IMPORTANT As the side window is extremely heavy, it must be held by two helpers.
If side window sinks,

Lift side window and readjust collet.
SPECIAL TOOL Clamping pliers

5 Remove nuts (2).    
6 Remove armor plate (3).    
7 Actuate emergency actuations on valve unit (Y69/1, Y69/2) and lower window lifter (1). IMPORTANT Nuts (6) must still be accessible.  
8 Remove nuts (6) and take out bolt (5).    
9 Lift window lifter (1) at rear and remove.    
10 Secure side window from below against falling down using suitable support.    
11 Unscrew screws (7) and remove armor plate (8) from window lifter (1). If window lifter (1) is replaced.  
INSTALLING Install     
12 Position armor plate (8) on window lifter (1) and screw in screws (7). When power window (1) has been replaced.
TORQUE SPECIFICATION Screw, guard plate to power window/holder
*BA72.10-P-1020-01BA 
13 Remove additional support for side window.    
14 Insert window lifter (1) and position.    
15 Install bolt (5), position nuts (6), and tighten slightly up to contact surface.    
16 Actuate emergency actuations on valve unit (Y69/1, Y69/2) and raise window lifter by hand until emergency locking (4) locks. IMPORTANT Two helpers are required.
IMPORTANT When lifting power window (1), ensure that the threaded pins of the side window and the holes in the power window (1) coincide.
 
17 Carefully lift window lifter (1) until window lifter (1) is in contact with lower edge of side window. IMPORTANT When lifting power window (1), ensure that the threaded pins of the side window and the holes in the power window (1) coincide.  
18 Center window lifter (1) on side window in longitudinal direction. NOTES Center power window (1) in relation to side window.
Otherwise the window guides may be damaged.
 
19 Position armor plate (3) in installation position and position nuts (2).    
20 Tighten nuts (2). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Nut, side window to power window/holder *BA72.10-P-1019-01BA 
21 Remove collet and have two helpers secure side window against falling down while doing so. IMPORTANT As the side window is extremely heavy, it must be held by two helpers.  
22 Connect front door control unit and door wiring harness.    
23 Bleed hydraulic system of window lifter (1).   AR67.39-P-0013-02SG 
24 Adjust height of front side window.   AR67.30-P-0100-04SG 
25 Lower window lifter (1) via emergency actuation on valve unit (Y69/1, Y69/2).    
26 Tighten nuts (6). TORQUE SPECIFICATION Nut, power window/holder to front door *BA72.10-P-1018-01BA 
27 Spray nuts (6) and threads with wax. Wax for engine compartment (400 ml spray can) *BR00.45-Z-1018-05A 
INSPECT Check     
28 Carefully lift and lower window lifter (1) at front door. IMPORTANT Ensure correct and smooth movement of window lifter (1), otherwise recenter window lifter (1).  
INSTALLING Install     
29 Remove door wiring harness with front door control unit.    
30 Install front door module.   AR72.10-P-0900SG
