	Risk of fire  /risk of explosion due to short circuit and escaping oxyhydrogen gas. Risk of (burn) injury caused by caustic burns to eyes, skin and mucous membranes from battery electrolyte/mist, short circuit and arcing. Risk of poisoning  caused by swallowing battery electrolyte or absorption of lead through the skin or body orifices. Risk of death  due to voltage U >= 30 V AC and U >= 60 V DC. 	Remove/install
1	Switch off all electrical consumers	Switch off all electrical consumers. Otherwise there is a risk of damage to electrical consumers when disconnecting and connecting the ground line (1).
2	Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmission range (min. 2 m)
3	Unlock engine hood	Model 222.004/057/104/157 Opening the hood deactivates the pre-entry climate control via the opened contact switch. This ensures that no currents are flowing in the 12 V on-board electrical system.

9	Disconnect electrical connector (2) from battery sensor (B95)
10	Expose ground line (1) and remove with battery sensor (B95)	Ground line (1) and battery sensor (B95) are a component part and cannot be replaced individually.
11	Install in the reverse order
