3	Evaluate wear pattern of tires on front and rear axle.	Greater wear at the shoulder compared to the center of the tire is normal for the front wheel- and-tire assemblies. On the tires of the rear wheel-and-tire assemblies the wear at the center of the tread depth is mostly somewhat more pronounced than at the tire shoulders. 4	Evaluate tire tread depth of tires on front and rear axle.	Assess tire tread depth at point of greatest wear. Assess at outside, inside and center of main tread using treadwear indicators. The height of the treadwear indicators is 1.6 mm (0.06 "). For safety reasons tires should be replaced before reaching the minimum tread depth. Summer tires: At approx. 3 mm (0.12") tire tread depth.
