	Check
1	Read out Vehicle Documentation (VeDoc) and check code entries.	Model 447 with engine 780 The vehicle interior shutoff valve can be installed in the "NO" version or in the "NC" version. If code OB0 (NO SHUTOFF VALVE) is present in VeDoc, ↓ remove code OB0 (NO SHUTOFF VALVE). Codes can only be removed in VeDoc by a user with write permission.

	Connect STAR DIAGNOSIS and read out fault memory	Do not yet remove vehicle diagnosis system. If vehicle interior shutoff valve cannot be opened using diagnostic system, ↓ actuate vehicle interior shutoff valve separately with 12 V. To do so, disconnect electrical connector and use suitable adapter cables for MQS contacts. Electrical connection kit	Fig 1
6	Analyze refrigerant in air conditioning system.	Perform the refrigerant analysis using an analysis device integrated into the air conditioning service unit or an external analysis device with data transfer to the air conditioning service unit. The gas analysis is deemed positive if the refrigerant has a degree of purity of ≥ 98.5%. If a positive gas analysis is present. ↓ the refrigerant can be extracted from the air conditioning system into the internal container of the air conditioning service unit. If a negative gas analysis is present. ↓ Repeat gas analysis. The gas analysis must be performed up to 3 times. After a third negative gas analysis, the analysis device must be verified as per the operator's manual. If analysis device is functional and gas analysis is negative, ↓ extract contaminated refrigerant from air conditioning system into a recycling cylinder.
	Draining
7	Empty air conditioning system using the air conditioning service unit.	Extract refrigerant according to result of gas analysis. Document amount suctioned off of compressor oil.
	Check
8	Check receiver drier for re-usability.	The receiver drier can no longer be reused in the following cases: Vehicle is more than 5 years old Refrigerant is contaminated (color dark gray to black) Refrigerant compressor is blocked Refrigerant circuit has been damaged (e.g. after an accident) If one of the cases listed holds true: ↓ Replace drier cartridge. 13	Add new compressor oil to the refrigerant circuit according to the oil filling capacity noted during extraction.
	Compressor oils (specification 362.1)	Only use the approved compressor oil. If proof is furnished that other compressor oils have been used, reimbursement of costs within the warranty and goodwill period will be refused. Daimler AG reserves the right to perform reexaminations. Correct compressor oil in refrigerant circuit. Otherwise, a wrongly measured oil filling capacity could damage the refrigerant compressor. 17	Disconnect low-pressure connection (1) and high-pressure connection (2) of air conditioning service unit from refrigerant lines.
18	Attach plugs to refrigerant lines.
	Check
	Risk of burn injuries  , suffocation and poisoning when working on the exhaust system and the components connected to it. Risk of suffocation and risk of poisoning caused by inhalation of gaseous and solid components of the exhaust. Risk of poisoning  caused by skin contact with solid components of the exhaust.
