REMOVING Remove     
1 Lower side window in front door    
2 Remove trim piece (2) from sliding door When removing side window (1) on sliding door.

3 Remove seal between side window (1) and rear side window from side window (1) IMPORTANT Observe assembly position of seal.  
4 Install cup suction tool on outside of side window (1) IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools  Cup suction tool/shackle (for removing and installing windows)  
WARNING Risk of injury  from cutting wire tearing or becoming hot and from splinters of glass when cutting out bonded windows Wear protective gloves and safety glasses. AS67.00-Z-0004-01A 
5 Cut out side window (1) with window removal tool IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools  Window cutter
IMPORTANT Punch pipe probe for cutting wire through adhesive seam at rear top on side window (1) (arrow).
Have second person help.

6 Remove cup suction tool from side window (1)    
CLEAN Clean     
7 Remove adhesive material from body flange or sliding door IMPORTANT Cut residual adhesive down to approx. 1 mm and remove loose adhesive material.  
8 Vacuum off glass splinters and contamination IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools  Wet and dry vacuum cleaner  
INSTALLING Install     
9 Install cup suction tool on outside of side window (1) IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools  Cup suction tool/shackle (for removing and installing windows)  
10 Attach adhesive foil on side window (1) If side window (1) in right sliding door is replaced.

11 Install new bracket for trim piece (2) on side window (1) If side window (1) is replaced.

12 Apply primer to primed surfaces on body flange or sliding door    
Notice  General notes about painting the body flange in the glazing area NOTES Do not apply primer on top of residual adhesive. Otherwise, the adhesive effect will be impaired. AH98.00-P-9408-06A

13 Prepare adhesive cartridge IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools  Electric and pneumatic cartridge gun AR67.10-S-1000-07S

CLEAN Clean     
14 Clean bonding surface on seal of side window (1)    
15 Install new seal between side window (1) and rear side window on side window (1) IMPORTANT Observe assembly position.
Glue seal approx. 1 mm below top edge of side window (1).
 
16 Replace all spacers IMPORTANT Spacers are available from EPC. AR67.30-S-4050-02E 
17 Glue in side window (1) NOTES Install side window (1) within 5 min. Otherwise the adhesive effect may be impaired.
IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools  Cup suction tool/shackle (for removing and installing windows)
IMPORTANT Have second person help.

18 Align side window (1) and fix in place adhesive tapes NOTES Align side window (1) immediately after installation. Otherwise the adhesive effect may be impaired.
IMPORTANT Observe gap dimensions "GD" or "FC".

19 Remove cup suction tool IMPORTANT Remove cup suction tool only after end of curing time.
Observe the drying time specified by the adhesive manufacturer.
 
20 Install trim piece (2) on sliding door When removing side window (1) on sliding door.

21 Remove adhesive strips and clean side window (1) as well as vehicle interior IMPORTANT Observe the curing time of the adhesive.
