9	Loosen the screws (4) on the tailgate.
10	Adjust gap dimension "HE".	The contour of the body must be flush with the contour of the tailgate or may protrude by a maximum of 1 mm. 11	Slightly manually tighten screws (4) on tailgate.	Tighten the screws (4) such that the position of the hinges relative to the tailgate will not change during the subsequent checking and adjustment procedures.

18	Pull the stop buffers (3) all the way out.
19	Carefully close the tailgate and press against the stop buffers (3) until gap dimension "GA" is reached. 20	Open tailgate.
21	Tighten the screws of the stop buffers (3).
22	Push the lock striker (6) all the way back and gently tighten the screws (1) by hand.
23	Push the guide wedges (7) all the way toward the inside of the tailgate and gently tighten the screws (2) by hand.	Model 447.7##/8## ## as of 026647, 448
24	Carefully close the tailgate and press against the stop buffers (3) until they come to rest.	In this way, the lock striker (6) and guide wedges (7) are adjusted to the required dimension.
25	Open tailgate.
