The bonding area must be absolutely dry and free of dust and grease.
Otherwise the adhesive force of the adhesive material starts to decrease.
Use only the repair kit specified in the EPC.
- Coat viewing window for the vehicle identification number on the inside of the windshield using primer.
When replacing windshield, the viewing window is no longer required.
Do not coat over the adjustment marks for the windshield wipers.
- Check windshield for damage.
When reusing windshield.
If there is a problem,

Replace the windshield.
- Level remaining adhesive material on the windshield with a suitable scraper up to a height of approx. 2 mm and remove loose remaining adhesive material.
When reusing windshield.
- Repair damaged primer layer on windshield with primer.
When reusing windshield.
The primer must flash off for at least 10 min.
Otherwise the adhesive effect of the adhesive material will be impaired.
- Apply cleaner (activator) in bonding area on windshield and rub dry with dry cloth.
When replacing windshield.
- Coat bonding area on the windshield with primer.
When replacing windshield.
Otherwise the adhesive effect of the adhesive material will be impaired.
