Electric Seats Function - GF91.29-P-0006GW

as of model year 2013 

The electric seats function description comprises the following subfunctions, which are described in separate documents:

Electrical seat adjustment (ESA), function 

The following electrical driver and front passenger seat settings can be made with the ESA:

In vehicles except model 463.342 the respective seat position can be stored and called up together with other settings.

Electrical seat adjustment (ESE) in rear, function (with code S52 (Individual seats in rear left/right with seat heater)) 

The ESA enables the following electrical settings on the left rear seat and on the right rear seat:

Lumbar support adjustment function (except model 463.342 and except code PA9 (Active Multicontour Seat Package)) 

A lumbar support unit is integrated in both the driver and front passenger seat backrest. The lumbar support unit can be used to individually adjust the backrest curvature to support the vertebral column.

Multicontour seat (MKS), function (with code PA1 (Seating comfort package) or code S52 (Individual seats in rear left/right with seat heater)) 

The contour and the surface hardness of the backrest and the seat cushion can be individually adjusted. This is done by air cushions that can be inflated independently of each other.

Front multicontour seat (MCS), function (with code PA9 (Active Multicontour Seat Package)) 

In order to provide optimum support for the vertebral column, two air cushions each are integrated in the backrest of the driver and front passenger seat in the lumbar support area. In addition, the contour and surface hardness of the backrest of the driver or front passenger seat can be changed individually. This is done by air cushions that can be inflated independently of each other. The dynamic function boosts the lateral support when cornering by automatically increasing the pressure in whichever lateral support air cushion is on the outside of the curve. In order to prevent back tension during long journeys, the multicontour seat is also equipped with a massage function.

Electrically adjustable steering column, function 

The electrically adjustable steering column function enables adjusting and storing of (except model 463.342) various steering column positions. The easy entry/exit function allows the driver to get in or out of the vehicle easily. In the process the steering column is moved upwards before getting in or out.
