	Remove/install
1	Remove engine compartment lining from center and front.		AR61.20-P-1105LWE
2	Remove left or right front axle shaft.	Model 238 with transmission 725.0 with code M005 (Vehicles with 4MATIC/all- wheel drive)	AR33.30-P-0620LW
3	Unscrew nut (2) and remove strut rod (1) from steering knuckle (4).	The ball head must be counterheld and an impact wrench/driver must not be used Otherwise the ball head or steering knuckle (4) will be damaged. Nut, strut rod to steering knuckle	*BA33.20-P-1003-01U
4	Unscrew nut (3) and remove strut rod (1) from front axle carrier (5).	Bolt, strut rod to front axle carrier	*BA33.20-P-1004-01U
	Check
5	Check strut rod (1) with sealing bellows, ball head and elastomer bearing for damage.
6	Replace elastomer bearing for caster correction.	If elastomer bearing for caster correction is damaged (bearing core off-center) and the strut rod (1) is to be reused. The elastomer bearing variants are shown in the reference document.	AR33.15-P-0160-02LW

7	Replace strut rod (1).	If neutral elastomer bearing (bearing core in center), seal bellows, ball head is damaged or if the strut rod (1) is damaged.
8	Replace elastomer bearing of new strut rod (1) with an elastomer bearing for caster correction.	When replacing the strut rod (1) if the remove strut rod (1) has an elastomer bearing for caster correction (bearing core off-center) installed. The elastomer bearing variants are shown in the reference document.	AR33.15-P-0160-02LW

9	Install in the reverse order.
