| Remove/install | |||
| 1 | Remove Hall sensor of the exhaust camshaft. | AR15.12-P-2147MSA | |
| 2 | Remove Hall sensor of the intake camshaft. | AR15.12-P-2146MSA | |
| 3 | Turn engine in the direction of engine rotation to cylinder 1 ignition TDC and install retaining lock of the crankshaft. | AR03.30-P-5001MSA | |
| 4 | Remove engine air intake duct downstream of air filter. | AR09.10-P-8130MSA | |
| 5 | Remove front noise insulation. | ||
| 6 | Remove wide open throttle bleed line from oil separator. | AR01.20-P-9750MSA | |
| 7 | Remove rear noise insulation. | ||
| 8 | Remove screws (60a). | When loosening and tightening the screws (60a), do not damage the fuel high-pressure line. Leaks can occur otherwise. |

| 9 | Loosen screw (60b). | When loosening and tightening the screw (60b), do not damage the fuel high-pressure line. Leaks can occur otherwise. |

| 10 | Remove service covers (61). | Ensure seal is correctly installed. The seals will otherwise be damaged. |

| 11 | Install locating tool in the service openings to check the basic position of the camshafts. | ||
If locating tool can not be inserted: ↓ Set basic position of the camshafts. |
