| 1 | Remove sliding roof panel. | AR77.20-P-2854FR | |
| 2 | Remove roof lining and lay down in vehicle. | Model 257 with code 414 (Sliding sunroof) |

| 3 | Pull off the felt strips (3) until the screws located below (7) are accessible. | ||
| 4 | Insert pliers (4) into corresponding opening (arrow) on left and right side of vehicle. | Fig 1 | |
| 5 | Remove water drain hoses (2) from left and right side of sliding sunroof frame (1). | Carefully remove water drain hoses (2). Otherwise damage may occur. |

| 6 | Disconnect electrical connector of sliding sunroof control module. | ||
| 7 | Unscrew screws (7). | ||
| 8 | Remove pliers (4) and remove sliding sunroof frame (1) from vehicle through door cutout of front passenger door. | Cover center console. Otherwise damage may occur. |

| 12 | Remove sliding sunroof control module. | When replacing sliding roof frame (1). | AR77.20-P-3022FR |
| 13 | Remove the mounting bracket from the sliding roof. | When replacing sliding roof frame (1). | AR77.20-P-1702FR |
| 14 | Install in the reverse order. | ||
| 15 | Read out fault memory with vehicle diagnosis system and carry out teach-in run for the automatic reversing function of the sliding roof. | ||
