	Remove/install
1	Secure vehicle on vehicle lift		AR00.60-P-0100CW
2	Remove corresponding complete rear wheel		AR40.10-P-1102A
3	Remove wheel carrier	Model 205.386/387/486/487	AR35.20-P-0115LWI
		Model 253.388/389/988/989	AR35.20-P-0115LWX
4	Pry rear axle shaft (37) out of rear axle differential (50)	Do not rest the assembly lever on the protective ring (37a). Support assembly lever, e.g. using socket wrench on rear axle differential (50).
5	Take out rear axle shaft (37)	: Replace locking ring (37o) or inner spline profile.
	Check
6	Check constant velocity joints	With axial or radial play ↓ Replace rear axle shaft (37).
7	Check boots	If leaky or damaged ↓ Replace corresponding boot.

8	Check side radial shaft sealing ring in rear axle differential (50)	If leaky or damaged ↓ Replace side radial shaft sealing ring on rear axle differential (50).
