7	Unclip electric line (7) at fuel line (12).

12	Rotate engine at center bolt of crankshaft in direction of engine rotation to a 40° CKA after top dead center (TDC) at cylinder 1 (ignition TDC).		AR01.10-P-1000-01SZ
		Only turn engine at the center bolt of the crankshaft in the direction of engine rotation using the specified box wrench. Otherwise, damage to the engine or even failure of the engine may occur.

20	Remove fuel lines (12, 13) at left high-pressure fuel pump (2) and place to one side.	Thoroughly clean area around fuel lines (12, 13) at points to be disconnected. Failure can occur otherwise to the fuel system. Do not kink or bend fuel lines (12, 13). Otherwise leaks and damage may occur.

21	Unscrew screws (18) and remove left high-pressure fuel pump (2) in upward direction.	Unscrew screws (18) during removal of left high-pressure fuel pump (2) alternately by, in each case, half a revolution. Left high-pressure fuel pump (2) will otherwise be damaged. Thoroughly clean area around high-pressure fuel circuit. Failure can occur otherwise to the fuel system.

23	Install left high-pressure fuel pump (2) with screws (18) at left cylinder head cover.	Screw in screws (18) during installation of left high-pressure fuel pump (2) alternately by, in each case, half a revolution. Left high-pressure fuel pump (2) will otherwise be damaged. Left high-pressure fuel pump (2) must lie flat on left cylinder head cover after screws (18) are tightened. Replace screws (18).
