	Remove/install
1	Deactivate Memory Package using the COMAND operating unit.	Engine 264 in model 213, 238, 257 with code 275 (Memory package) with code M005 (4MATIC)
2	Move front wheels to straight-ahead position and fix steering wheel in place with holding device.	Do not turn steering wheel when steering coupling is disconnected. Clock spring contact will otherwise be destroyed.

4	Unclip ME-SFI [ME] control unit (N3/10) and place to one side with lines connected.		AR07.08-P-1000MRH
5	Remove front axle drive shafts.	Remove/install front axle shafts Engine 264 in model 257 with transmission 725.0	AR33.30-P-0620MRH

6	Remove exhaust gas turbocharger		AR09.40-P-6036MRH
7	Remove the catalytic converter.		AR49.20-P-0100MRH
8	Unscrew screws (7).	Bolt, heat shield to engine support	*BA22.10-P-1002-02D
9	Remove screws (1) from left and right front engine mount (2)	Engine 264 in model 238 with code M005 (4MATIC) Bolt, front engine mount to engine support	*BA22.10-P-1001-03O

10	Remove heat shield (6).
11	Remove coolant hose to heater cooler from firewall.		AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ
12	Install engine support fixture and raise engine.		AR01.10-P-2400-17MRD
		Do not put electrical lines and hoses under tension. Otherwise damage will occur.

15	Remove screw/bolts (5) from left and right front engine mount (2) and remove both front engine mounts (2) downwards	Always replace front engine mounts (2) in pairs. Observe environmental protection regulations for disposal of the engine mount (2). Dispose of front engine mount (2) into mixed scrap.
