  1. Remove upper engine cover (9).
  2. Remove right engine compartment cover (7).
  3. Remove left engine compartment cover (8).
  4. Remove seals (11).
  5. Remove coolant expansion reservoir (10) and place to one side along with attached lines.
  6. Model 213 with engine 274, 654

    with code ME05 (Hybrid drive 85 kW-94 kW variant (including plug-in))

    Model 213 with engine 274

    with code ME06 (Hybrid drive 60 kW variant (including plugin))

    Unclip purge valve from bracket of high-voltage battery cooling system expansion reservoir and place to one side.

  7. Model 213 with engine 274, 654

    with code ME05 (Hybrid drive 85 kW-94 kW variant (including plug-in))

    Model 213 with engine 274

    with code ME06 (Hybrid drive 60 kW variant (including plugin))

    Remove high-voltage battery cooling system expansion reservoir and place to one side along with attached lines.

  8. Model 213, 238, 257 with engine 264

    Remove expansion reservoir for low-temperature circuit and place with attached lines to one side TORQUE SPECIFICATION .

  9. SPECIAL TOOL Attach adapter plates (6) to SPECIAL TOOL engine support fixture (1).
  10. Attach SPECIAL TOOL adapter (5) to SPECIAL TOOL adaptation plates (6).
  11. SPECIAL TOOL Install adaptations (3) onto SPECIAL TOOL engine support fixture (1).
  12. SPECIAL TOOL Preset engine support fixture (1).
  13. SPECIAL TOOL Place engine support fixture (1) on suspension strut towers and longitudinal members.

    IMPORTANT Aid of helper required.

  14. SPECIAL TOOL Adjust engine support fixture (1), align it horizontally and tighten threaded connections.
  15. Attach shackle between support (4) and the engine suspension lug.
  16. Tighten turnbuckle of lifting device (2).

    NOTES When lifting engine, do not subject engine mounts to tension.

    The engine mount can get damaged otherwise.

  17. Remove in the reverse order.
