	Risk of injury  due to fan starting unexpectedly	Do not reach into the rotation or hazard area of the fan. Wear closed and close-fitting work clothes.	AS20.40-Z-0001-01A
	Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray. Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant.	Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the overpressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers. 	Remove/install
1	Switch off ignition and store transmitter key outside of transmitter range (min.2 m).
2	Remove upper engine cover (2).	Engine 264 in Model 213 Engine 264, 642, 654 in Model 238

3	Remove engine air intake duct (3).
4	Release and disconnect electrical connector from fan unit (1).
5	Unclip bleed line from cold air intake (4).	Engine 264 in Model 213, 238
6	Remove cold air intake (4).
7	Remove screws (5) and remove crossmember (6).	Bolt  , lock striker to cross member/front-module carrier	*BA62.30-P-1008-01H

8	Remove oil cooler from fan unit (1) and place to one side with connected lines.	Engine 274.9, 642 in Model 238 with transmission 725.0	AR27.55-P-1000OLD
9	Remove bracket (7) from fan unit (1).	Engine 264 in Model 213, 238 with code B01 (48V technology)
10	Remove lower center and front engine compartment lining.	Engine 274.9, 642, 654 in Model 238

		Do not install center and lower front engine compartment lining until after leak test.
11	Unclip lower cold air guide on fan unit (1)	Engine 274.9, 642, 654 in Model 238
12	Unclip coolant line (8) from fan unit (1).	Engine 264 in Model 213, 238 with code B01 (48V technology)
13	Unclip top cold air guide from fan unit (1).
14	Slowly open cap of coolant expansion reservoir and relieve pressure in engine cooling system
15	Remove cooler vent line, catch escaping coolant using a suitable container and close off openings using suitable stop plugs		AR20.20-P-7441-01RQ

16	Unclip fan unit (1) from cooler mounts and remove upward.
17	Install in the reverse order.
18	Check coolant level and correct.	Coolant mixing ratio	*BF20.00-P-1001-04A
19	Calibrate Distance Pilot DISTRONIC controller unit.	Engine 264, 274.9, 642, 654 in Model 238 with code 239 (Adaptive cruise control Pro (DISTRONIC PRO))
