Check Engine Cooling System For Leaktightness - AR20.00-P-1011OLC

WARNING Risk of injury  to skin and eyes suffering scalding from contact with hot coolantspray.
Risk of poisoning  from swallowing coolant.
Do not open cooling system unless coolant temperature is below 90°C. Open cap slowly and release the overpressure. Do not pour coolant into beverage containers.
Wear protective gloves, protective clothing and safety glasses.

REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove cap (1).    
2 Check coolant level and correct. FLUID SPECIFICATION Coolant mixing ratio *BF20.00-P-1001-04A 
3 Install tester cap (3) on coolant expansion reservoir (2). SPECIAL TOOL Test cap Fig 1
4 Connect pressure pump (4) at tester cap (3). SPECIAL TOOL Pressure pump Fig 2
INSPECT Check     
5 Apply a test pressure to the engine cooling system for2 minutes. NOTES
Do not exceed the specified test pressure. Otherwise the engine cooling system will be damaged.
IMPORTANT There must not be any pressure loss within2 min.

6 Check condition of all coolant carrying component parts and connections and check for leak tightness. In the event of pressure loss.
If problems exist,

Replace corresponding components.
 
INSTALLING Install     
7. Relieve test pressure via valve on pressure pump (4). SPECIAL TOOL Pressure pump Fig 2
8 Remove pressure pump (4) from tester cap (3).    
9 Remove tester cap (3). SPECIAL TOOL Test cap Fig 1
10 Check coolant level and correct. FLUID SPECIFICATION Coolant mixing ratio *BF20.00-P-1001-04A 
11 Attach the cap (1).
