REMOVING Remove     
1 Remove all detachable parts in area of repair point.    
2 Cover detachable parts that remain in vehicle with welding protection blankets. IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools

3 Remove crossmember under windshield paneling (1).   AR62.25-D-0027-01TS 
    IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools 
Rotary wire brush
Spot weld milling machine
Wet and dry vacuum cleaner
1K-zinc dust paint

4 Prepare crossmember under windshield paneling (1) for installation.   AR62.25-D-0027-02TS 
    IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools 
Hole punching pliers 6 mm
Rotary wire brush
1K-zinc dust paint

INSTALLING Install     
  The high voltage used for electric welding presents a lethal hazard. Risk of explosion  from welding in areas close to highly inflammable materials. Risk of injury  from weld splatter and UV-light when welding. Risk of poisoning  from inhaling welding gases Use insulating mats. Wear protective clothing, safety glasses and a protective mask. Remove highly inflammable materials from the hazard area. Use air extraction system. AS00.00-Z-0007-01A
5 Install crossmember under windshield paneling (1).   AR62.25-D-0027-03TS 
  Measures for preventing damage to vehicles or components when performing electric welding work   AH00.00-N-0005-01A

6 Clean weld joint and sheet metal flanges with rotary wire brush. IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools

7 Remove welding protection blankets. IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools

8 Clean repair area. IMPORTANTCommercially available devices/tools 
Wet and dry vacuum cleaner
 
9 Attach vehicle identification number.   AR60.00-D-0800TS
  Risk of explosion  caused by paint vapors igniting. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling paint vapors. No smoking! No open fire! Use respiratory protection, protective clothing, gloves, safety glasses and protective skin cream. Ensure that the area is well ventilated. AS98.00-Z-0002-01A
10 Prime repair area with a primer filler. Notes on paintwork repairs IMPORTANT Use only primer filler approved by Daimler AG:

11 Seal seam after repair. IMPORTANT Supplement standard seals with sealant. AR97.10-D-4000TS
  Risk of explosion  caused by paint vapors igniting. Risk of poisoning  caused by inhaling paint vapors. No smoking! No open fire! Use respiratory protection, protective clothing, gloves, safety glasses and protective skin cream. Ensure that the area is well ventilated. AS98.00-Z-0002-01A
12 Paint repair area and adjacent surfaces. Notes on paintwork repairs IMPORTANT Use only paints approved by Daimler AG:
